Sunny Lovely Lake

The sun was high in the sky , the lake was still…everything was calm, Angela sighed, a sigh of boredom…or was it a sigh of annoyance….no one would ever know………leaning back adjusting her striped tub top. “hummm” she thought laying down on the dock, it was odd really, what happened only a year before, it was like she was only a year old….but one could tell that was not the case, in fact she was just someone who was struggling to remember what happened to her for her first 16 years of her life.

“Well if you think about it” she began talking to her self “it could be much worse ….Right?” closing her eyes she swung her legs off the dock and into the water…..her arms folded behind her head as the warm sun hit her cream colored skin, she was clearly thinking….most likely trying to remember form time to time little bits and pieces would fall into her mind but they normally did not stay long….its as If she was not meant to remember at all.

Sudenly a sound of something approaching retched Angela from her deep thinking…..but she did not move…as if she did not care….”Whos there” she muttered secretly welcoming the new comer….even though her voice lacked enthusiasm and excitement, in truth the young woman feared being alone the most.

"An old friend." said Richter. Was was good friends with Angel but ever since she returned something was off. He sat next to her. "I heard what happened..." said Richter. "You probably don't remember me but I'm Richter." He wondered how bad the accident was the she forgot her friend and parentage. A demigod's parentage is like a part of them.

Angela frowned when he spoke, she did not remember Richter at all…. How close where they maybe not close , maybe best friends….she would never know…it seemed…… “im sorry “ she began her eyes opening slowly as she looked up at him….”I dotn remember…..i can even remember what I am….” She sighed and sat up…her eyes stayed locked on him a hint of sadness sprinkled in them….. she did not remember him at all…he seemed nice enough though

Tilting her head she looked at him…. maybe he could help her, “How good of friends where we?” she asked her mouth curved into a frown…. he was like a stranger to her yet something told her somewhere in her locked mind her lurked…memories…memories that have been sealed away from her till further notice.

"What you are is something to be proud of." said Richter. "You, me, everyone is is a demigod. We have powers, mortals are ignorant to our world. The Olympian gods are real. Your the daughter of Aphrodite, The goddess of love. I'm am a son of Zeus, cabin counselor of my cabin, like how your the cabin counselor of your cabin." She asked how good of friends they were and he decided that he should be frank with her. "We were good friend, it never amounted to anything, but good friends." said Richter. "Your memory will return in time, but if they don't, it's just more room for new memories. And you will make a lot here.

Angel Listened her expression growing lighter and lighter as Richter spoke….she could careless about the powers she sadly had but more about there friendship….what he said made her laugh slightly….she was not sure why though……what he said next made her feel a little better about her self….he was right this place would fill the empty places soon enough.

“Well that’s a good thing I suppose” Angel laughed slightly crossing her arms over her chest…”But I sure would like to remember my friend at the least…” she grinned” that must make me the worst friend ever no” she joked half heartedly.

He smiled at that. "No that doesn't make you the worse friend ever." said Richter. "It wasn't your fault, no one blames you. People just want to see you remember." Talking to her was like you could tell something was missing. It was keeping her from enjoying herself. Richter thought of an idea. "You haven't done much since you returned, and the only way to make new memories is by doing this. Whats something that you would want to do." Richter hoped that doing something she liked to do would help her memory, even if it's was only a big.

Angel smiled happily, she was glad she had someone to talk to, when she got bad her mother played her a visit and they had a little chat…she did not tell her much simply she was head, and that was it. Richter then brought up a good point…she had not done much and doing something she liked might help her remember things………”humm I have an idea” she sneered…the look on her face was a bit scarey but seeing she lacked fun for the past few weeks she wanted to do something slightly devilish….and Richter was about to be her victim…that’s if she could get him to move…

Take a step behind him Angel attempted to kick him off the dock and into the lake.

Richter wondered what the face meant. You could never tell what cabin 10 was thinking when they decided they don't want you to know. Angel got up and with surprising speed kicked him into the lake. Which for him the water was not a place he should be. He could swim but he he wasn't a fan of water. Richter quickly dragged himself back on to the dock. "For future reference, not a very big fan of water." said Richter.

Angel was surprisingly not laughing instead….she seemed to be spaced out….the reason…something was playing through her mind…something once lost but now found….an old memory….

Angela was younger at the time like maybe 12 or soo….an then there was Richter… sitting on the dock …... then she shoved him into the water…..crouching at the edge pf the dock she giggled happily, but then Richter hulled him self off the dock…..and said “"For future reference, not a very big fan of water."

Once snapping out of it, Angel Watched as Richter pulled him self out of the water, what he said made her smile….simply she nodded and said in a extremely overjoyed yet calm tone “I remembered that…..” she stopped…”After I did it that is” this may seem like a small step……but to Angel it was a giant leap.

"Thats good!" said Richter happily. He remember when they were 12 and he tole her the same thing as now. "For a child of Aphrodite you have strange ways of saying hi nice to meet you." He looked at Angel with a smirk. "You pushed he in the water and think you going to walk away dry?" Richter grabbed Angel's wrist and jumped back into the water.

Angel giggled…she was nothing like the other children of Aphrodite…she was far more like her father Ziler. But then she saw the expression plastered across Richters face….it was scary, “Ok lets not do anything we will regret, hehe” giggled Angel trying to back away slowly from the son of zuse who was most likely going to get her wet, but then with out another warning Richter pulled the helpless Angel into the water, she screamed as she fell in.

Sinking down Angel opened her eyes…..he was going to get it…. As she resurfaced her banged covered her whole face.” Look what youv done now im blinded” she laughed as she tried to find him with her hands in an attempt to shove him under water.

Richter held back his laughter at the blind comment. He was to the left side of her and when she walked past him, he reached over and tapped her right shoulder. Richter moved back a bit. "Maybe you should move your hair out of the way." said Richter. He was about 3 feet away from her. Most likely she would jump then look, but if she jumped she would hit more water.

“Ok now your being a know it all” Angel laughed as she felt him tap her shoulder, turning around quickly she reached…she got nothing….flipping her hair out of her face she sneered at him, “come here Richter” she said in a devilish tone …slowly Angel advanced on him…she looked like she was an evil little Daughter of the goddess of love and beauty ready to play around with a mortal….but that was not the case this was not a mortal she was going to play with. It was Richter. Once close enough to him she jumpt at him hoping to knock him over.

Richter shrugged when Angel called him a know it all. "Could be worse, I could be from Athena cabin and be boring you to death with the unneeded facts about water." said Richter. Richter smirked and backed up slowly as Angel walked towards him. He was going to step back when Angel jumped at him. But he slipped on mud and Angel jumped on him, knocking both of them back under water.

Angel Laughed “Well I would not die dear, id simply walk away and go find something else to do.” It was true she did not like sitting around hearing useless information…even if her brain was mostly empty and she would most likely remember it all….if it was useless she did not want to hear it.

As Angel Came into contact with Richter they both fell under the water, this scared her for a second, opening here eyes she looked at him, the signature hehe I win cabin 10 grin plastered across her face. With out waiting much longer she resurfaced, having to tread water because she was to short to reach to bottom…about 6 inches to short….being only 5 foot had its flaws.

Richter smiled back a Ok, i give, you win smile. He resurfaced. He could stand and felt a bit guilty about it. "Come on lets get out of the water." said Richter. "Or to at least a place in the water you can stand." Richter smiled and waited for Angel's response. In truth he wanted to get out of the water. He always felt like pools lakes or oceans would pull him under when he was in them. Because of that he normally stayed out of those bodies of water.

Angel doggie paddled till she could finally place her feet on the muddy lake bottom and said thoughtfully “how about we just get out I don’t want to make you suffer, its not something I enjoy doing to people.” She smiled “But I think you know that or did that coma change me completely.” She laughed like it was no big deal to her.

Darting out of the water Angel waited for Richter patently, she watched him closely a hint of curiosity-lingered n her blue and green eyes, there was something different him that triggered her curiosity…she wanted to know what happened, how did she meet him…..anything that was important. “Richter?” she called looking slightly frazzled and embraced. “Can you tell me how we became friends in the first place?” she asked shyly, it seemed like an odd question but not knowing things was a very heart wrenching thing for Angela

Richter walked out of the water. "Sometimes you did, unless you were out to get the person." said Richter. Angel asked how they became friends. "Well, I came here when I was ten and you came here when you were 12, and I was helping out with showing new kids around, Acer was suppose to help but he had his face in a book and didn't show up. So I had to show the camper Acer had to show around as well, which was you. So I was showing you and a kid, which ended up in Ares cabin. During the tour heard someone saying capture the flag was going on in the woods. Well, you didn't know what our version was capture the flag was so you slipped away into the forest. I noticed you heading in the forest a few second later, so I followed you in there. Of course I didn't here the announcement for capture the flag so I didn't know until i was in the forest as well." Richter paused to let her register it all. "So you actual found were Apollo flag was hidden. And Apollo cabin thought you were apart of Zeus cabin, which was who they were against in this round. So they went after you. So i step in to help you and i knocked one of the apollo kids back and he dropped his sword. So while i was keeping my own against apollo, because they were facing my cabin they didn't believe me when i said I was escorting new campers. You actual picked up the sword the one kid dropped. And you pretty much beat the crap out of them, which surprised me and the kids from apollo. But after I took you out of the woods but word spread about you and people knew what happened. My cabin was actually hoping you were in zeus' cabin. We were actually surprised when your mother claimed you. But after the capture the flag thing we just started to hang out and we became friends, it was really simple like that."

As Richter began the story Angel looked very interested, the fact it was about her past made her feel a bit odd…….he came to the camp at an earlier age then she thought , that would explain how smart he was when they met. “well im happy Acer never showed up,” Angel thought with a smile on her face. when he paused she commented “Well I do remember always liking middle schools capture the flag……but” she laughed “ I think the camps is much better”…Richter continued to speak and her listen.

The rest of the story seemed more interesting….Angel found it kind of funny that ahe insisted on beating the crap out of people …..truthfully she some what wanted to fight with her sword once more…she had not picken it up since she arrived back at the camp….it had been way to long for her liking. “Humm I wander if im still skilled with my sword “she wandered out loud.

"Yeah the best capture the flag is here." said Richter with a smile. After he finished Angel made a comment wondering if she still had skill with a sword. It was probably the first time he heard someone from her cabin saying they wanted to practice fighting. Most of the time they would do nothing except look at there reflections and fix there make up. "Lets go find out." said Richter standing up.

Angel could see a hint of surprise in Richter’s face but she did nothing but smile, “Sorry to disappoint you but I don’t sit around admiring thes o called “flawless” outlook I have all day…..” she laughed clearly joking “im not that self absorbed “ she commented with a slight roll of her eyes.”as a matter of fact I always enjoyed a good fight” she grinned devilishly……it was true Angel never wanted to be a damsel in distress and have to have someone play hero just to saver her.

"Alright then lets head down to the Arena then." said Richter. He walked a few feet ahead then turned around. "You sure you wont cry if your make up gets messed up?" joked Richter. This is going to be fun. thought Richter. The last time he saw her fight was when she first got here.

There was a few seconds of silence before Angel reacted….with a smirk..”Well hate to brake it to you dear” she stuck her tough out “but I don’t need it after all im perfect..” she stated her face dead serious , matching her tone perfectly….but if Richter really knew her he would know she was kidding…..With a swift motion Angel motioned for Richter to lead the way.
